Janó, a drótos tót. Koller fényképe után. Mo. és a Nagyvilág, 1882, Lajos Elischer

A wire toaster was an itinerant craftsman who repaired broken earthenware and metal vessels with holes. Most of them came from árva, trencsén or liptó counties. The most famous wiremen of the 20th century came from the county of abaúj. In addition to slovaks, there were also many gypsies among the potter's men. They carried their tools and the materials needed for their work in wooden chests on their backs. The typical clothing of the wire-tots was the wide-brimmed hat and the boskor. The war swept this part of the capital with it. En: wire rod. Date: 1882.
