Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (945-01-18) letter no. 310 (1945-02-10) next letter (1945-02-12) envelope: front back text [from nuremberg]berg we went on to leipzig after a few hours. Here too i had to wait for the train to halle and from here we went to halberstadt. So it was finally 11 p. M. On thursday. The connection to here was not until 9 a. M. On friday. I stayed the night in halberstadt and then arrived here at 9 a. M. On the 9th. Here they were glad that i had come at all. During the whole journey my thoughts were with you, my mother, how you were and whether you were better yet. How i would have loved to have stayed with you! it is so hard for you alone, especially now that you are ill. There is nothing here, everything is missing. It would be much nicer to know that you are being well looked after. If at least there was enough food here-[so that you could improve yourself a little. ]. Date: 10 February 1945.
