Signed: study and hard labor by georgios klotza" in this image, various subjects are combined and compose a triumphant praise to the virgin mary, who is depicted in the center of the composition, in glory, with christ in her arms and on a throne of seraphim. Around her in concentric circles of increasing width are the wheels, cherubim, angels, zodiacs, the twelve and houses of akathistos, scenes from genesis and above and in the middle church with the crucified. In the lower part, in a lagoon reminiscent of venice, the upper jerusalem is depicted, as well as saints, who are lined up in dense hierarchical groups.
