Poklad Erben Scheiwl, Josef Scheiwl, 7 April 1871

Set of illustrations to poem poklad (the treasure) by karel jaromír erben. Plot: a cave full of gold opens only once a year, on good friday; a woman enters it with her child, takes gold and silver and leaves; while outside, the cave closes, the treasure turns into mud and she realizes that she had left her baby inside. She has to wait till next year to get the child back - and then, she ignores the gold, just anxious to bring the child safely out. Date: 7 April 1871.
