Bunge kyrka, Olof Sörling

Bunge kyrka, Olof Sörling

The poor man's box in the chancel, made of limestone. Supposed to have been made around 1235-70 and served as a crucifix pedestal perhaps already in the older church, certainly also in the current one. In more recent times, it was exhibited on the country road and then had a small stone roof over the money slot, which was also a sun visor. In 1917 it was moved back into the church. Unknown date Depicted Place: Sweden, Gotland Municipality, Bunge socken. Collection: Swedish National Heritage Board. Bunge kyrka - KMB - 16000200015247
