Bakkehuset by pilestredet in christiania (oslo). Bought by peder kjerulf in the 1820s and named after knud lyne rahbek and kamma rahbek's home in copenhagen. Halfdan kjerulf, hjalmar kjerulf, theodor kjerulf, ida kjerulf and axel kjerulf grew up here. The property was sold to postmaster and art collector johan ludvig malthe in 1846. In 1865 the state bought it to add it to the property for the new rikshospitalet at pilestredet 32. The house was demolished in 1874. Object Type: painting. Genre: landscape painting.
