Delaistre, tomme 3, planche 39, mousquetaire avec fusil, circa 1721

The picture panels were created for the education of louis xv. Robert d'hermand compiled 25 volumes for this purpose, 15 of which are still preserved today. The artworks are by charles parrocel and jacques antoine delaistre. Most of the images have a prefabricated frame, executed as a copperplate engraving. The work remained unfinished.
