Horses of the 2nd uhlan regiment of the polish legions. The two horses shown probably belonged to lt. Zygmunt rolecki (grey, apple-colored) and lt. Józef dunia-borkowski (white). The photo was taken in czewel, a village located near kowel (wołyń). The 2nd uhlan regiment of the polish legions was stationed in this place from march 30 to mid-may 1916. Date: kwiecień - maj 1916.
