Willem Janszoon Blaeu El Cruzero1602 (Gallica), Willem Blaeu, 1 January 1602

Willem blau was a dutch astronomer and cartographer who created celestial globes and world maps from the end of the 16th century to the 17th century. The celestial globe made in 1602 was an imitation of the celestial globe made by petrus plancius and jodocus hondius in 1598, but plancius also showed his own originality, such as by naming the cross he had anonymously drawn at the foot of a centaur the cruzero. Date: 1 January 1602.
