Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1945-01-04) letter no. 308 (1945-01-06) next letter (1945-01-08) envelope: front back text it's been over a week now since i was with you, it seems like a long time ago, like a short but beautiful dream. When it's nice everywhere, home is the best place. I've been waiting for mail from you every day now, apart from the new year's card, i've not had any mail. Have you received my letters yet? the alarm has just gone off again, the sirens are blaring, but this is nothing unusual for us, we're always flown over. How are the alarms at home, do they still go off every day and have they been thrown off again? please write again soon, i'm waiting for it. Everything is fine with me, i'm healthy and in good spirits. Please say hello to all my friends and tell me what's new. Greetings with love and lots of kisses from your hansl. Did the letter with the groceries arrive? Date: 6 January 1945.
