Portrait of the Duchess of Luynes, Pierre Gobert, circa 1700-1710
"portrait representing madeleine marie honorine de glymes, princess of berghes and duchess of luynes (1680-1744). She is represented half-length as flora, crowned by cupid. This sensuality is reinforced by luscious lips enhanced with red while her eyelids are made up to highlight her beautiful blue eyes which stare at the viewer. Date: circa 1700-1710. Dimensions: height: 140 cm (55.1 in); width: 113 cm (44.4 in). Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Unidentified location.
