The bridge in the background is the pont des saints-pères, now destroyed; iwill's workshop was nearby. This work belongs to the collection of the museum of fine arts of the city of paris (petit palais), presented as part of the exhibition "the art of pastel from degas to redon", from september 15, 2017 to april 8, 2018.
