It is ftrange that the rhinoceros fhould bee a born enemie to the elephant; wherefore hee whet's his horn, which grow's upon his nofe, upon the rocks, and fo prepare's himfelf for fight, wherein hee chiefly affails the bellie, as that much hee know's to be the forfteft: hee is as long as an elephant, but his legs are much fhorter, hee is of the color of box, yet fomwhat fpotted. Pompie was the firft, the fhewed one at rome. Date: 1649.
