Unmon zenshi zō ("Statue of Unmon Zen Master"), Hakuin Ekaku

Zen master yunmen wenyan (862/4-949), styled ummon bun'en (or unmon) by the japanese. Painting by hakuin, one of three hanging scrolls comprising a set, with daruma and rinzai in the others. This seems to be eihoji temple copy. [1] but other copies of three scrolls are known e. G. At jōkōji (定光寺). Medium: ink, painting, paper. Collection: Eihō-ji (永保寺). Ummon
