Depiction of the battle of öland in 1676, between the combined danish-dutch fleet, commanded by cornelis tromp, and the swedish fleet commanded by lorentz creutz. The battle was a major failure for the swedes since they lost two of their largest ships, kronan (foundered by accident) and svärdet (sunk by a dutch fireship) with a loss of close to 1,200 men. Date: 1676.
