26 LILLE - The Church of Scare-Cœur., circa 1905

Lille (france - northern dep. ) — the church of the sacré cœur, in neo-gothic style, located at the corner of rue solférino and rue nationale, was built at the end of the 19th century to thank the sacred heart of jesus for preserving the human and material integrity of the city of lille during the war of 1870. The sacré-cœur was particularly venerated at that time. Semeuse lineage stamp 10c, lilac-pink, designed by louis-eugène mouchon, engraved by oscar roty. Date: circa 1905.
