Swedish stamp 12 Öre POST.054046, 1858

Stamp 12 öre 1858. By far the most common weapon type öre stamp. Intended for domestic letter postage. Of all the stamps in the series that were sold, 81% were twelve-year-olds. The total circulation for the denomination, 107 million copies, is large even by modern standards. Stamped, it is to this day a common and inexpensive stamp that can be obtained by most collectors. Many print editions with exciting blue shade differences. The basic color included berliner blue, in the first editions with an addition of cobalt blue. In 1861 and 1862 the printer scheutz used ultramarine, another iron color. Edition: 106,701,700, 12 öre. The marks were produced without a watermark (only in the sheet margins). Invalid for franking from o. M. On december 30, 1910. The stamp in the picture is from the postmuseum's collections. Date: 1858.
