V. 41. Dear parents! you will have received my card by now. Today i am finally getting around to writing to you. There has been such a fuss here recently; we have been given completely new clothes and we were told we would be leaving within three days. Where to is unknown. It has been almost 14 days now and we are still here. Since you may not always write here, i thought i would write to you from my new location and you could reply there. Now that so long has passed and you are perhaps worried about what is wrong with me, i am writing from here again. You can reply to me because karl is staying here and he will send me the mail if i am no longer here. Unfortunately, when and where we will be going is still unknown. You don't need to worry about me, i am healthy and well and i plan to stay that way. We will probably go to a military training area. It's a shame that karl isn't coming with us. Date: 28 May 1941.
