An allegorical scene with four figures on a mountain side; an old man (the penitent) is led up the hill by a female figure holding a branch from a rose bush; another female, "penitentia", awaits at the top of the hill holding a whip and salver; a satyr at the bottom is labelled "peccatum" (sin); the design (168. 00 x 116. 00 mm) is surrounded by a series of small biblical scenes engraving.
