Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 226, February 1917

226. Gravestone with crosses around the cemetery in the yard of the church "st. Dimitar" in the town of lyaskovets near v. Tarnovo. It was made of gray grinding stone when the church was being built (1860), at the behest of grandmother minka, to be placed on her grave when she died. The monument is a square, roughly hewn block measuring 50 cm (above the ground) high, 36 cm wide and 16 cm thick. On its upper edge, an isosceles is carved on the face cross 7 cm high and 6 cm wide; below it is carved a niche with an iron isosceles cross for gluing candles. The niche is closed with a tin door. The face of the monument and the tin door were decorated with flowers (naive drawing) with oil paints. Sketched in february 1917 (t. 3, obr. 24. ). Date: February 1917.
