Prinsep's Ghat, Louis Haghe

British east indiaman at prinsep's ghat before 1851. Taken from a booklet "grand moving diorama of hindostan, from fort william, bengal, to gangoutri in the himalaya" probably dated 1851. Fanny parkes, funded the grand moving diorama of hindostan, in 1851 for show in baker street. Booklet published: 1851. [1] the diorama was sufficiently popular for it to be exhibited in hull in 1853. Fanny lived in india between 1822 and 1846. Prinsep's ghat was created in 1841. The constructions in the image were created in 1843. Date: 1851 (Image date: 1846).
