Stormy coast landscape; a large rain cloud hovers over a fortified town and harbour in the distance; lightning strikes over a mountain; large waves hit the shoreline and in the foreground two travellers, just past a pollard willow, flee and attempt to protect themselves from the elements; fourth state with address of hendricx; after peter paul rubens.
