Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 170, February 1916

170. Prosfornik (type), negative with a cross, made of linden wood in the city of lovech. The cross is four-winged, two equal-winged crosses with monograms are carved in the middle of the vertical wings; in the lateral two wings nine triangles (right) and spears (left). The ends of the cross rest on an engraved circle. In the corners, where the wings cross, a large triangle is carved in a pyramid-like manner downwards. The entire prosphora is octagonal, with a seal-like handle at the back. Dimensions: 10. 5x10x3. 5 cm. Sketched from the original in the collection of ivan enchev-vidyu, in february 1916. (vol. 2, obr. 156. ). Date: February 1916.
