Lithograph by joseph pushkin (after photographs), lithographic institute of charles fuchs, hamburg, 1859, 25. 7 x 43. The procession of the hamburg artists' association, in the schiller procession on the armory market on november 13, 1859. In front, wearing a white coat and holding a staff, is the president of the association, ernst glüer, accompanied by otto speckter and carl martin laeisz. This was followed by the large banner of the association, which was presented to the association by women of hamburg in 1852 and which was now carried by martin gensler, with the support of the painters peter gustav brünner and friedrich wilhelm lucas. The banner was joined by a small number of members of the association with two standards. One standard depicted pegasos and the other, from 1848, bore the hamburg coat of arms with a hanseatic cross of the hanseatic legion. The first standard was the oldest of the association and was a gift from the architect eduard stammann, who brought it from rome. It was once painted by ludwig schwanthaler and was used by the german romans at the cervaro festivals. This was followed by three smaller flags that were carried, which were painted especially for the procession and represented the symbols of architecture, sculpture and painting. Date: 1859.
