Dora ohlfsen-bagge (1869–1948), an australian artist who lived in italy and who worked as a nurse there during world war i. Apparently photographs of her in a nurse's uniform were published at the time. After a search of australian and american newspapers, i have not been able to find this, but i'm going to assume that it was published during the war. Date: 1916.
