"the christ of forgiveness", work of the master francisco antonio cano, exhibited in the metropolitan cathedral of medellín. The christ of forgiveness was one of the works that cost the artist the most time and money due to its proportions (an oil painting on canvas three meters high), and due to the economic vicissitudes he faced to create it, it took him 10 years. In 1910 he managed to finish it in its entirety thanks to the donation of a public collection that was made in medellín at the time, and in gratitude for this the artist donated the painting to the city. The name: the christ of forgiveness, is due to the fact that before moving definitively to the new cathedral of medellín, it was located next to the door of forgiveness of the church of la candelaria, which at that time was the cathedral temple. Medellin. Colombia. Date: 1910.
