The brig George of Copenhagen., Lorenz Petersen, between 1821 and 1870

The brig george was buil in boston in 1819. In 1821 she was bought by the shipping company of jacob holm & sønner in copenhagen, and they kept her until 1865, when she was sold to owners in dragør, zealand. She served on until november 1876 when she foundered off blyth, and the wreck was subsequently sold for breaking up. List of danish sailing ships (d-k) at mfs. Dk (in danish). Object Type: painting.
