Portrait of tsar peter alekseevich late 17th century copper, enamel. 5. 5×4. 7 (oval) signed on the counter-enamel: j barbette. This enamel is a repetition of a painted portrait kept in the palace of versailles and, according to legend, presented by the tsar himself to the french king louis xv. The absence of the order of st. Andrew the first-called on the portrait allows us to date the image to no later than 1703. Peter i the great (1672–1725) – son of tsar alexei mikhailovich. From 1682 – tsar, in 1721 assumed the title of emperor.
