Oblong, curved sides, rounded corners, featuring raised decoration of gibson girl with upswept hair and low cut dress, leaning forward to smell roses in small vase on table top, identical decoration on reverse. Lid hinged on side. Striker on bottom. Date: circa 1895. Dimensions: 6.7 x 4.6 x 1 cm (2 5/8 x 1 13/16 x 3/8 in. ). Medium: silver. Collection: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
