Portrait of the spanish politician alejandro pidal y mon (1846-1913), who became minister of development in 1884, during one of the mandates of antonio cánovas del castillo, member and director of the royal spanish academy, member of the royal academy of history, president of the congress of deputies and ambassador of spain to the holy see.
