Venus reclining in a wooded clearing, turned to the left, gently raised above the ground by cupids around her, holding out drapery beneath her; in the left foreground, a cupid holds a torch near her leg and another flies towards her, with arms outstretched; venus' right arm is extended towards him; in the immediate right foreground, venus' bow and arrows are on the ground; beyond, trees; after joseph guichard. 1854 lithograph on chine collé.
