Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 623, 28 August 1920

623. Group of crosses around the cemetery of the village. Svoge, sofia. 2, 3 to 8 crosses are stuck on the older graves, which shows that several dead people were buried in the same grave (of course, from the same family and at certain intervals of time). There are no tombstones in this cemetery - all the monuments are cruciform; and there are no dolls. The shape of the cross here in all its variations is that of the bulgarian crosses in the city. Niche bearing dates between 1860 to 1880. - same size apples and characteristic oblong growths with apples on the lower wing - base. There are similar crosses in the sofia, kyustendil, and radomir cemeteries. And they are all grindstone. Dimensions: the largest on average - 150x80x12 cm; of the smallest on average - 40x30x8 cm. Sketched on august 28, 1920. (vol. 10, table. 2, no. 97. ). Date: 28 August 1920.
