598. Vow "st. Archangel". On the road from the village of kurilo (sophiysko) to the kurilovsky monastery. The great-grandfathers of a family from the village stuck the cross outside the village as a "sign" (they did not remember what "sign"). And for many years here on archangel's day the whole village comes out to cart a kolivo (sacrifice) and the priest reads prayers. The cross is made of gray limestone and is buried with its lower wing straight into the ground without a plinth. Now next to the cross grows a large century-old oak, which was probably planted when the cross was placed in this place sketched in 1914 (vol. 2, plate 6. ). Date: 1914.
