Alfredo helsby hazell was a chilean painter (valparaíso, july 22, 1862-santiago, july 24, 1933) who is considered the landscape painter of southern chile and one of the greatest masters of chilean painting of the 19th century for his radicalization of visual perception and the accommodation of plastic media to the dynamic harmony of nature.
