The photograph shows the top of the veit stoss altar in st. Mary's church in krakow from a straight shot, without foreshortening. It is the scene of the coronation of the blessed virgin mary in the form of a fully plastic sculptural group under an openwork canopy. God the father and god the son hold a crown over the head of the blessed virgin mary, who kneels between them with her hands clasped in prayer. Below you can see a fragment of the architectural, openwork, decorated base. On the sides, placed on separate bases, slender figures of angels play musical instruments: the left one on a portative, and the right one on a gusle. The background is a high window with stained glass and fragments of walls visible on the sides, covered with polychrome with geometric ornaments and two busts of seraphim in the window glyph. The photographic print was made on albumin paper glued to a pre-cut cardboard backing. There are no signatures or company markings indicating the author. It was probably made during the execution of wall polychromes designed by jan matejko in the years 1889–1891, but after 1890, when the works in the presbytery were completed by juliusz mien's photographic studio.
