Birket Israil - the Pool of Bethesda, 1881

* colonel wilson, ed. This is the israel basin (birket israil), was located in the channel of the beit zeit (betseta) stream. Over time, the pool turned into an unsanitary pit, which was filled in 1936 by the mandate authorities. And on the place of the covered pool they arranged a park (el-ghazali square). Date: 1881.
