The title provided by the experts at bruun rasmussen was somewhat dubious. As they wrote, sørensen did in fact travel with a danish frigate (the gefion) in 1846, but the sources only have them calling at the spanish atlantic coast (and then on to madeira), not actually being in the mediterranean.
