Small square doily, fringed on all sides, with an ivory linen warp and a bronze-colored silk weft. A figure of a woman dressed as a bluebell with and framed by bluebells, with the word bluebell in the upper left, all appearing in ivory on a bronze-colored ground. A set of six, the doilies would have been used on the table as part of a dessert service. Date: circa 1891. Dimensions: 18 x 18 cm (7 1/16 x 7 1/16 in.) fringed on all sides. Medium: linen, silk.
