The hour of waiting, engraving by charles baude published in le monde illustrated on september 12, 1896 (p. 173) reproducing a painting of the same name presented by laura le roux at the salon des artistes français the same year (number 1243 of the booklet). The engraving was accompanied on page 171 by the following comment:
"fine arts: the hour of waiting, painting by miss l. Le roux. — in music, in poetry, in literature, how many times have we not described this moment so
special charm, where the soul, absorbed in a single thought, tastes in advance, delights superior to reality!
here is a pictorial version of the wait, which is added to so many others, but which signals a very original and very personal grace, and the pretty canvas by mlle le roux, much admired at the salon des champs-elysées, will find, in our artistic gallery, the success which greeted it when it appeared. Object Type: print. Date: 12 September 1896.
