Edward vi granting the royal charter to bridewell hospital, 1553, after the painting then attributed to holbein in bridewell; the king, wearing a crowned hat and an ermine-lined mantle, enthroned, with a cloth of state behind him and a canopy and drapery overhead gives the charter to sir george barnes, the lord mayor, about him grouped various dignitaries. 1750 watercolour and bodycolour, on vellum.
