MotherAtCrystalPalace, between 1920 and 1924

History of the imperial war: galleries at the crystal palace, 1920 - 1924 men of the royal army ordnance corps get a 9. 2 inch howitzer known as "mother" into position for exhibition at the imperial war museum. The impressive roof of the crystal palace is clearly visible above them. Comment: the photograph is taken from the right front of the gun. The barrel has not yet been installed on the siege carriage, it is still on its wheeled travelling carriage behind it. It will be moved forward through its cradle. Date: between 1920 and 1924.
