In the foreground a central group of figures, including to left a man dressed in robes and a turban, laban (?), who stands impassively as a servant looks for his idols in a chest, to right jacob (?), also in a turban and robes, holding out a hand in remonstration, while next to him, laban's daughter rachel rests on a chest, her face in her arms, and another woman, probably her sister leah, carrying a child in her arms; also two infants on the floor on a rug, a man and a dog, soldiers close to an antique ruin, camels, one with figure on top of its load, a tent with another camel and two people under it, packing cases and vessels; after ronmy lithograph on buff chine collé.
