Minnehøytideligheter og markeringer (7139850261), Prince Eugen, Duke of Närke

Copied from the national archives' flickr album "9. Commemorations and commemorations", photographs selected from "ntb's war archive - images of norwegians in sweden during the second world war": "the norwegian refugee community celebrated important holidays and memorial days. 17 may and 9 april were among the major events. 17 may was marked as a big and significant day of celebration with hope for free norway, while 9 april was dedicated to grief and memories and was marked in honor of those who gave their lives for norway's cause. Every year on this day, large official memorial services were held with swedish participation. Freedom fighters such as nordahl grieg, viggo hansteen and rolf wickstrøm were remembered and honored with special events. From 1943, when swedish public opinion had turned in favor of norway, there were many joint norwegian-swedish events. In stockholm this year, three large gatherings were organized with norwegian and swedish speakers who paid tribute to the norwegian freedom struggle. (all images in the album are marked with no known copyright restrictions. ).
