The engraving shows a woman with a helmet, a bow and a quiver. It is skaði from norse mythology. In the bottom left corner is written "w. Meyer x. A. " meaning that the engraving was created at w. Meyers xylografiska anstalt, an engraving company owned by wilhelm meyer (1844-1944). In the lower right corner is written "lbh sc", meaning that the engraver was ludvig bernhard hansen (1856 - 1933). Somewhat above this signature is written saltza, meaning that the original artist was carl fredrik von saltza (1858 - 1905) the image list on page 468 in the book describes this image as skade.
