Olavinlinna, Hjalmar Munsterhjelm, 1875

Hjalmar munsterhjelm's painting of olavinlinna, whose restoration work had just begun. The painting was commissioned by constantin kiseleff, the architect who led the restoration of the castle. It is apparently the first painting depicting olavinlinna, which was made from the observation tower of the kiseleff-designed restaurant completed in 1873 on nälkälinnanmäki.
