nothing confirms the identification of the subject of this drawing as it was mentioned during the sale of the rodrigues collection on february 26, 1929. It could also be a drawing made during the trip to spain and north africa, made in 1846, in the company of alexandre dumas. This dancer is reminiscent of that of delacroix's "jewish wedding".
