[braunschweig] july 26, 1942. My dear mum! i received your lovely letter yesterday. The package has already arrived, the main thing is that you liked it and were happy. Yes, of course i thanked fählers for the watch. Just keep it for me for a while. Now back to my main concern, your work! isn't there anything easier for you at the post office? are you really so dependent on the 30 rm? just take something easier, even if you earn less.
