Two years of marriage, aquatint by louis-françois caron, after a painting of the same name by jenny berger-desoras presented at the paris salon of 1819 (catalogue no. 52) inspired by the marriage of figaro. The painting was described as follows in the 1819 salon booklet:
rosine, abandoned wife, seeks a way to bring back her husband, count almaviva, who soon succumbs to boredom and falls asleep while making music.
