At the 2005 auction, the experts at bruun rasmussen had changed the title to interiør med mand og hustru (interior with man and wife). They had dropped the claim of the charlottenborg exhibition, and now just mentioned "remnants of an exhibition sticker". And they now read a date, 1884, in the inscription.
