Morris folly, William Russell Birch, 1800
Morris' folly - in 1794 robert morris began building this palatial townhouse in philadelphia. After his imprisonment for debt in 1798, the unfinished house came to be known as "morris' folly. " it stood until 1800. Date: 1800.
